Stepwise Utilization Process to Recover Valuable Components from Copper Slag

چکیده
Waste copper slag is a typical hazardous solid waste containing variety of valuable elements and has not been effectively disposed so far. In this paper, stepwise extraction process was proposed to recover (copper, iron, lead zinc) from slag. The specific procedures are as follows: (1) A flotation adopted enrich copper, when the grade in concentrate 21.50%, recovery rate 77.78%. (2) tailings were pelletized with limestone, then green pellets reduced, magnetic separation carried out. When iron grades 90.21% Fe 0.4% Cu, 91.34% 83.41% recovered, respectively. (3) Non-magnetic mixed clinker standard sand produce common Portland cement. Several products obtained through process: concentrate, measured 21.50% Cu; TFe direct reduction dust, including 65.17% ZnO 2.66% PbO; cement for building construction. comprehensive utilization method achieved zero tailing great potential practical application.

Microbial Leaching Process to Recover Valuable Metals from Spent Petroleum Catalyst Using Iron Oxidizing Bacteria
Spent petroleum catalyst from Korean petrochemical industry contains trace amount of metals such as Ni, V and Mo. Therefore an attempt was made to recover those trace metal using bioleaching process. Different leaching parameters such as Fe(II) concentration, pulp density, pH, temperature and particle size of spent catalyst particle were studied to evaluate their effects on the leaching efficie...
متن کاملRecovery of Copper from Copper Slag and Copper Slag Flotation Tailings by Oxidative Leaching
Copper smelter slag and copper smelter slag flotation tailings were leached using sulphuric acid solutions, without or with the addition of either ferric sulphate or hydrogen peroxide. Copper extraction from the slag was typically found to be twice as high as that from the slag flotation tailings. Hydrogen peroxide was determined to be the best lixiviant. Thus, copper and iron extractions were ...
متن کاملUtilization of Soil Stabilization with Cement and Copper Slag as Subgrade Materials in Road Embankment Construction
In this study, unconfined compression tests have been conducted to investigate the impacts of copper slag on mechanical characteristics for stabilized cement and un-stabilized soil. Dozens of specimens were prepared at four percentages of cement (i.e. 0%, 2%, 4% and 6%) and five percentages of copper slag (i.e. 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) by weight of dry soil. The samples compacted into a cylind...
متن کاملThermodynamic Investigation of Copper Removal From Liquid Slag.
The removal of copper dissolved in liquid stags by pyrometalIurgical means such as gaseous reduction and sulfidization is thermodynamically investigated. The lowest level possible for copper content is theoretically determined and compared. The results show that gaseous reduction is not as effective as sulfidization. Slags with very low levels of dissolved copper can be obtained with sulfide tr...

A COMMERCIALLY viable method of recovering polymer-grade ethylene from waste gas streams has been ded o p e d by TeMeCO Chemicals. Called the ESEP process, it is based on the cuprous aluminum tetrachloride technoIogy previously applied by Tenneco to the recovery of carbon monoxide from dilute gas streams, Cosorb. (ESEP and Cosorb are trademarks.) The ESEP effort, as described by Arthur P. Gutie...
